Kim Post

Miss Kim has been a student of dance since the age of three, starting at J & L Academy of Dance with Miss Sarah. After high school she attended the University of Minnesota’s Duluth campus where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance. Since graduating, she has enjoyed working as a costumer and choreographer at several high school theatre programs in the Twin Cities area. Kim has a love of dance that spans all genres and has participated in classes and workshops ranging from Dance Olympus to African movement and ballroom. She began teaching at ‘nMotion in 2012, which has given her many opportunities to share her passion with students and the community. She has participated in teaching the Columbia Heights community education dance program and helped create a performance of the “The Nightingale” with the city of Fridley and a grant from the Sinfonia orchestra. Kim couldn’t be happy to find a home at the ‘nMotion studio. You can email Miss Kim directly at

Connie Nyquist

Connie Nyquist took her first tap dance class at age 45. Connie’s daughter had been a student of Miss Sarah’s at J & L Academy of Dance since Kindergarten. After years of enjoyment watching her daughter grow thru dance, Connie was thrilled to make the leap from “dance-mom “ to “mom-that-can-dance”. Encouraged and supported by her daughter, the staff at ‘nMotion, and the other dancers, Connie danced in her first recital at age 48. Connie has a full-time position as Personal Lines Manager at Dolliff Insurance in St. Louis Park, MN where she’s worked for almost 10 years. She has a B.S. degree from Minnesota State University – Moorhead. It’s an honor to be elected treasurer of the newly appointed Board of Directors for ‘nMotion Dance. Her hope is to give back to the community that has provided her with so much joy over the years.
